Hairstyle Tutorial: Kailey Hopkin's Meet Hairstyle--With a Twist

Hey everyone! This is Kailey here today, and I will be teaching you how to re-create my Meet Outfit hairstyle with a little twist--French braids! :)

The best dolls to do this hairstyle on are dolls without designated hair parts, such as McKenna or Addy, but I'm sure it could be done on other dolls, too.

Here's how to do this hairstyle:

First, you'll want to have a few essential doll hair styling tools on hand:

1. A wire wig hair brush

2. Small, clear hair bands

3. A misting water bottle (filled with water)

4. Optionally, you can use some hair ribbons to dress up the hairstyle

Before getting started on this hairstyle, you'll want to mist you doll's hair lightly with water and brush out any tangles.

After your doll's hair is smooth, take a small section starting at about the middle of the front of her hair, then split the hair into three equal pieces. Make sure to keep the section of hair close to her head so the braid will go in the right direction.

Begin to French braid her hair, and stop adding in new pieces when you reach the base of your doll's wig cap.

Once you are past the wig cap, finish off in a regular braid.

Now you're done with the first mini braid! It will look something like this:

Next, just repeat the steps on the opposite side of her head :)

Ta-da! Now you've finished this super-simple hairstyle!

While this looks really cute by itself, here's a few ideas for some fun variations:

Shelby-Grace and I hope you enjoyed this hairstyle tutorial!

Thanks for reading and have a great week.

  3. You make such nice braids. Obviously it helps to mist the hair first. The 3 variations are cut too. I like the 3rd picture the best. Keep styling!!
