Garden Snails & Overalls

Hello! Mia wanted to try the red overalls and paired it with the yellow polka dot shirt I made. Red wouldn't be a color I dress Mia in, particularly because of her hair color, and the fact that I don't own many red pieces for dolls. Her hair was in a braid but I had to take it out, she was the only one I could try a hairstyle on at the moment- the hairstyle didn't work so I just left Mia's hair as it is and went outside to take pictures.

Half of the pictures turned out super blurry but I will just blame it on the sun going down faster than I thought it would.

Who is that?

Just the very curious garden snail that wanted it's picture taken ;) And gave the photoshoot its name :)
I keep forgetting how fun and crazy Mia's hair looks when left down; it gives her a different expression and personality to me.

I'm thinking to break up the huge amount of photoshoots I've been posting how about a craft/tutorial? Any ideas? I would probably split it up into a few posts.
Thanks for looking!,

5 essential pieces for fall

so basically my week is crazy and outdoor photos are impossible because of rain and the impending hurricane. gosh diddly dang darn it. this week, (even though it's a day late soz) i'm going to show you what i believe to be the top 5 most important pieces for you to have in your doll's fall wardrobe.

*all items shown were made by me, except for the shoes*

5.) floppy hats

these are super cute, easy to make, and work with a wide variety of styles.
for example, both chrissa and emerson enjoy wearing floppy hats, and their styles are completely opposite.

4.) something striped

stripes are perfect for layering under solid colored jackets and cardigans.
plus they're just cute.

3.) boots

your dolls need a good pair of boots, whether they be combat style boots like emery's, or tall brown ones like from a saige meet outfit.

2.) beanies

my dolls lives (well...emery's life) revolves around beanies. this is just a cute one i modeled off a neff beanie, but they're all equally as adorable.

1.) SWEATERS.

the most important piece is a sweater or two. perfect for layering, or just wearing on its own. GET ONE.

see ya next week!

Let's Talk Mini Dolls

Hey guys!

As you probably know, AG has a line of "mini dolls", or smaller versions of their 18 inch historical dolls (and recently GOTYs, too). The mini dolls have taken three basic forms throughout their history. The first was a soft-bodied, vinyl type with glass eyes and wigged hair. They came with a hardcover mini abridged version of their meet book and were advertised as "Dolls for Dolls", i.e., AG dolls for YOUR AG dolls to play with! They cost $20 each.

The second form was initiated in 2000 when Mattel bought the company. The dolls were then changed to have painted eyes and rooted hair, and the price rose to $24.

The third form came with the launch of BeForever. The dolls were changed to have all-vinyl bodies and flanged joints, and the price changed to $25. The mini books that came with them also changed from hardbacks into paperbacks and became slightly smaller.

So, what do you think? What's your favorite type of AG mini doll? Comment below!

The Bond Between a Horse and a Girl - A Photoshoot

Hi everyone!
Emma here today! I am the new Thursday and Maddie is now the new Tuesday.;) I'm excited to be the new Thursday, but I hope I will not accidentally post on Tuesday or forget to post on Thursday!XD
Anyway, I took these pictures of Saige and one of our horses, Jackson.:) Enjoy!

I really like this picture!:D

I was really surprised at how well these photos came out. When I was taking them, I felt like they weren't turning out well, but they turned out nicely anyway!:D

Bailey's Rainy Photoshoot

Hey everyone! Today I will be posting the photoshoot of Bailey that I mentioned on my blog ^_^
I took these photos with my Canon EOS Rebel SL1on a cloudy, rainy day at around 5:00 P.M. on our front porch :)
{I just realized that Emma had posted a photoshoot in the rain last week! Oops--I had actually taken these pictures before Emma had shared her photos so I in no way intended to copy Emma's great photos :) }

Bailey is wearing an adorable top from PolkaDotBee123's Etsy shop! Polka Dot Bee is an amazing seamstress, and always has such amazing posts here and on her own blog :)
Her shorts are handmade and were purchased at the MCM Sale and her shoes are from the Easy Breezy outfit from AG :D

Here's the photoshoot:

And here are two more "posed" pictures with Bailey and the roses:

Thank you so much for reading and have a wonderful week :)
