Julie's Back-to-School Supplies!

Hey guys! This is Julie here. Today, I'll be showing you my back-to-school supplies!

My backpack is grey, pink, and green. Let's take a look at what's in the first pocket!

Firstly, we have my composition notebook! I'll use it when I'm writing reports or essays.

Secondly, we have my science textbook. This year we'll be learning about animals and ecosystems!

This is my regular notebook. I love the pink plaid designs and can't wait to take notes in here!

This is my free reading book. It's called Really Truly Ruthie. We get 30 minutes each day to read a book of our choice, and I can't wait to get started on this one!

Here's my folder! I'll store all my homework and paper in here. I love the flower designs and colors!

Here's the inside! It has two pockets.

Next is my pencil box. It is red and has doggie designs on the front.

Here is the inside! I have two pencils - one regular and one mechanical - as well as two erasers. One is a standard white one, and one is a fun heart!

Finally, we'll take a look in the small front pocket of my backpack. What's inside?

My geography textbook! This year, we're be learning all about North America.

Well, that's all for this Saturday! Have a great day!

~Emma Jane climbing trees~

(Wow, what a creative title!!!) XD

A few weeks ago, Emma Jane decided she was going to try her hand at climbing trees. She didn't do half bad, I must say. :) (Although she got stuck on the last photo and I had to come to he rescue. ;)
Have a great morning/evening/night!!!

A Shining Light

Hello! Once in a blue moon I actually can come up with a creative title, like now :)  Another photoshoot because I want to and they are the easiest to make and post..

Sometimes you just have to love sun flares ;)

Don't read this long paragraph if you don't want to, just skip to the end :)
How most of these pictures happened was before we started to move this park was on one of my top places to take pictures at, specifically by a group of willow trees. Willow trees are my favorite tree and I thought it would be the perfect place to take pictures at. So I crossed the park and set up Mia, found a stick to prop up the reflector and turned on my camera. The lighting wasn't the best so I moved to another location, even just walking mosquitoes started attacking me. It was terrible and I ended up with more mosquito bites than actual pictures. Instead of giving up the bridge I crossed to get to the willow trees I stopped and managed to take a few pictures. Most of the pictures didn't turn out as well as I had hoped; which turned out to be that the silver side of a reflector is not flattering on Mia. This was as the sun was setting so while I was leaving I tried another spot, this time with the gold side. I ended up with some awesome pictures that I am so happy to have.
A few things I have learned-
  1. Never take pictures of a doll near willow trees by a stream!
  2. Always use the gold side of a reflector when photographing Mia, if you can.
  3. Sometimes the most annoying and terrible photoshoots turn out amazing in the end :)
Something I promised to do at the end of each post-
Mia's Outfit-
Shirt- Made by me
Shorts- Made by me
Shoes- Saige's sweater outfit
Hairstyle- Two french braids tucked into the back
Thanks for looking!,

Storm Clouds on the Horizon

Hi everyone! Emma  here! So sorry I couldn't post last week! I seriously had no time starting from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to bed!
But anyway, I know you guys probably are a little tired of photoshoots, so I will try to make a photostory for all of you soon, but here are the pictures I took today. Enjoy!:)

It was such weird weather today! It was totally hot and humid and then it started sprinkling! Now I think it is sunny! Weird weather I'm having.;)

Gosh, there were so many bugs buzzing around my face and person, it was so annoying!!!:(

Well, that's all for today!:) Till next week, bye!

What's your favorite kind of weather?:)

My Top 5 Favorite GOTYs

Hey guys! This week I'll be sharing with you my top five girl of the year dolls. So, without further ado, let us get started!

5. Sonali (2009)

Sonali is beyond gorgeous, and her story, that of a former bully who sincerely feels bad for her actions and ends up as great friends with the girls she used to target, promotes giving people second chances, which is super great! Plus, go diversity! She really deserved more of a spotlight.

4. Chrissa (2009)

I absolutely adore Chrissa's story! She moves to a new state and starts at a new school in the middle of the school year and is bullied badly, but she finds a way to stand up to the bullies and keep her confidence high. I think she's a great inspiration for victims of bullying, and she's super relatable since most people have experienced bullying sometime in their life, whether it be as the bully, victim, or bystander. Plus, can we please talk about the cuteness of some of the outfits in her collection? Like

3. Saige (2013)

Saige is extremely gorgeous - I love her hair and eye combo! Plus, the feature of hot air balloons in her story and collection is too cute, and her movie is by far my favorite of all of the GOTYs'*. A very amazing girlie <3

2. Isabelle (2014)

I know Isabelle gets a lot of applesauce for being a white blond dancer who wears pink, but, although I do wish she was a minority, I think she's still very gorgeous. And I love how her story shows that even if you're not the very very best at something (she's nowhere near as good as her sister Jade in ballet), you can still have fun doing it. PLUS HER COLLECTION OH MY GOSH HER COLLECTION. Can we talk about her collection? For example:

Brb, I'm about to faint.

1. MIA (2008)

Mia is my second doll, fave doll I own, and all-time favorite girl of the year. Her combination of facial features are so stunning and unique - plus, I love her distinct freckle pattern!

Mia is a nine-year-old with big dreams of becoming a figure skater in a family that has very little money and is made up mainly of hockey players. She gives light to the struggles of the lower middle class while at the same time showing that someone with that background can succeed, too. She shows that it's okay to go against the flow to do what you really love. She teaches that hard work will pay off. And she is just so dang cool.

Well, that's all for this week! Who's your favorite girl of the year? Your least favorite? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

Namariƫ,
Ellie
