Photography Tips: Indoor Photography

hello, and welcome to the second installment of Photography Tips!
with me, I have the lovely Emerson, modeling for the sake of this post. ;)
today we shall focus on indoor photography...

the first thing you must consider when preparing an indoor shoot is lighting.

a personal favorite of mine is somewhere next to a window, so that you get natural light.

a reflector is always very helpful, but not necessary.

if you don't already have one, or don't want to buy one, you can always make one.

a large sheet of white paper (or any large white "thing" for that matter) would be just fine, too. :)

here are just some examples of indoor photos taken at a well-lit location.

there isn't much to indoor photography besides the lighting, so that's why there aren't as many tips.

I hope this was helpful!
(even though it probably wasn't)

see ya next Thursday with an outfit ideas post!

  1. Great tips! I like the reflective surface one best. And that last pic is amazing :)

  2. Gosh Maddie your photography is always so gorgeous. You should be working for AG by now. Your photography is way better than the AG catalog pics.

  3. Beautiful pics!!! Thats ok about not having that many tips :) I enjoyed reading your post :-)

  4. Thanks Maddie! The pictures are amazing, and I love emerson's top. Where did you ever get it?

  5. Awesome tips! Emerson looks gorgeous ♥ I totally agree with Micaela--you should most definitely be working in the AG Photography department--your photos are a million times better than their current catalog photos ;)
    Wonderful post as always! :)
