Who wore it best? AG's Shimmer & Lace Party Dress

Hey everyone, sorry for getting this up so late. I've had a busy day and a VERY busy week. You know, school and stuff.
So, let's get to our Who wore it best? game. A week ago, I got the Shimmer & Lace Party Dress from American Girl. I thought that this would be a fun one to do.
Here is Saige is the outfit. Her red hair and blue eyes nicely compliment the dress.
Here is Addy in the dress. Her dark skin makes the dress seem like it is more coral-colored.

Vote for who you thought wore it best.
See you next week!

HTM an Easy Beanie

hey guys!
today I'm gonna show you how to make super easy and cute doll beanies!

You Will Need:
sewing machine
old shirt
pins (optional)
fabric shears (or scissors if that's all you have)

1.) lay your doll's head on the sleeve or bottom of the shirt (wherever you have the room) and lightly mark where her head is with a pen or pencil, making sure to leave about a quarter inch extra all the way around.

(sorry the picture of the pieces when they were cut out got deleted :P) when you're finished cutting it out, it should be about this shape.

2.) next, you're going to pin the pieces around the edges, making sure the good sides are together, then sew around the edge at about 1/4" seam.

...and you're done!

this only takes me about three minutes all together to do, and the result is adorable! I hope you guys try it out, let me know if you do! email me a photo at :) hope you liked this tutorial (despite it probably the worst one out there xD), and I'll see ya next Thursday!

Grace Inspired Doll Suitcase

I love doll sized suitcases and setting up photo-shoot's with a travel theme a suitcase is a must. For this craft I started with a small first aid kit. The kit had stickers on the front and the back so I soaked the case in warm water and scrubbed it off. Since the first aid kit was already a bright red, much like the red found in Grace's collection I decided to paint polka dot's on the outside.
Here are my supplies, the light blue suitcase in the background was a sewing kit that I found at a garage sale.
I used the end of a pencil to create polka dot's in a random pattern all around the suitcase.

I continued adding polka dot's until all of the sides were covered..

I also sealed the paint with a layer of Modge-Podge to make sure it held up to play.
I love how it turned out! Excuse the messy paint job, I need to touch it up later :)
Stay tuned next Wednesday I will be posting pictures of a photo shoot featuring these doll sized suitcases..
What items have you re purposed?
Thanks for looking!,

She Walked Away- a lyric photoshoot

Hey everyone, Emma here! I took these photos a few days ago of Sophie and since I got such great feedback for my other lyric photoshoot, I decided I'd try it out again!:) The song is "She Walked Away" by the Barlow Girls.:) Credit to Adi for coming up with lyric photoshoots.
She couldn't take one more day
Home was more a prison now

Independence called out
She had to get it

A fight was all she needed
To give a reason

She slammed the door with no goodbye
And knew that it was time

Now she's driving too fast
She didn't care to glance behind

And through her tears she laughed
It's time to kiss the past goodbye

I'm finally on my own
Don't try to tell me no
There's so much more for me
Just watch what I will be

She walked away
Couldn't say why she was leaving

She walked away
She left all she had believed in

Not a day goes by
For the ones she's left behind

They're always asking "why?"
And thoughts of her consume her mind

God please let her know
The love we tried to show
We'd promise anything

If you just bring her home
She walked away

Couldn't say why she was leaving
She walked away
She left all she had believed in

Tell her we love her
Tell her she's wanted
And one more thing God

Tell her please, come home
Please, come home

She walked away
Couldn't say why she was leaving
She walked away
She left all she had believed in

The choice is yours alone now

Tell me how this story ends
I hope you enjoyed! Till next Tuesday--
